Man confesses to killing son

SUKKUR, Oct 13: The mystery shrouding the fate of a youth, Akbar, who had been missing for several days has been resolved after the confession of his father who said he had thrown him into a canal after which he died.

Police have arrested the youth’s father, Ghous Bux Shaikh, and lodged an FIR against him. Akbar Shaikh, 26, was chronically ill for a long time, and went missing three days ago from his house in Anwarabad Mohalla. Later the body was recovered from Ghotki feeder near Miran Goth. — Correspondent
