QUETTA: Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Mohammad Noor Meskanzai has said that provision of justice to the people at their doorsteps is top priority of the judiciary.

Inaugurating the new building of the court of judicial magistrate in the Kingri area of district Musakhail on Saturday, he said in other areas of the province also new courts building were being constructed and work on them would be completed in the near future.

Speaking at the Loralai Bar, Justice Meskanzai said that the role of the bar and the bench was very important in providing justice to the people at their doorsteps.

“No stone should be left unturned in provision of justice to the people,” he said.

The BHC chief justice urged the judicial officers to perform their responsibilities with honesty so that the confidence of people should be restored in the judiciary. “Delay in the provision of justice to people will not be tolerated,” he said, adding that the provision of speedy justice was responsibility of the judiciary.

He said the delay in providing justice created unrest in society and the bar and the bench could remove the unrest through mutual understanding.

The chief justice said that a programme was being evolved in the Judicial Academy for training of judicial officials and lawyers in the province.

Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Commissioner Zhob Dr Syed Saifur Rehman, Registrar of the Balochistan High Court Rozi Khan Bareach and District and Sessions Judge Inspection Munawar Ahmed Shahwani also attended the opening ceremony of the new building.
