PESHAWAR: Keeping in view the problems being faced by businesswomen, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) has announced to facilitate Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WCCI), Peshawar to market the products of women entrepreneurs in the national markets.

The assurance was given by General Manager Out-Reach Smeda, Javed Iqbal Khattak, during a meeting with the executive committee of the WCCI here on Wednesday, according to a statement.

The meeting also reviewed utilisation of the approved amount of Export Development Fund and different aspects of promotion of businesses of the women entrepreneurs.

The Smeda representative also offered to facilitate KP women entrepreneurs in marketing their products and imparting them training to manufacture demand-driven products.

Mr Khattak said Smeda would organise an inter-provincial exhibition of the products manufactured by women entrepreneurs in Swat. The exhibition will be held either in the last week of February or first week of March next year.

Furthermore, the women entrepreneurs of KP will also be facilitated to participate in similar exhibitions to be held in other cities of the country to market their products, he maintained.
