LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) defeated University of Management and Technology (UMT) in their table tennis and badminton clashes on the second day of the National Sports Competitions at the former’s campus on Tuesday.

PU clinched first position in table tennis followed by UMT and University of Lah­ore in the second and third positions. PU also defeated UMT in badminton to lift the trophy while Punjab College remained third.

In kabaddi (schools category) Govt. High School Pattoki defeated Wapda High School Shalimar 28-19.

In football (schools category) Govt. High School Sarai Aalamgir Gujrat defeated Wapda Boys High School Shalimar 3-0 goals.

In table tennis schools Category Govt. High School Gujrat won first position, Unique School finished second while Hamza Foundation clinched third position.

In badminton (schools category) under 13 competitions, Govt. High School Bha­kar won first position, Wapda School Shalamar secured second and Wapda School Allama Iqbal won third.

In badminton schools under 17 Sanwyk Grammar School secured first, Govt. High School Bhakkar earned second and Dare Arqam School finished third.
