China has warned its citizens in Pakistan to be on alert after receiving intelligence reports about possible attacks targeting Chinese.
The Chinese Embassy in Islamabad said on its website on Friday that it had information about a “series of terror attacks” planned against Chinese organisations and personnel, without giving details. It urged its citizens to stay inside and avoid crowded places.

Thousands of Chinese workers are employed in development of about $60 billion worth of infrastructure projects under Beijing's 'Belt and Road' initiative. The port and road-building projects have come under frequent attacks in Balochistan.
The government has promised Beijing that it will deploy troops to secure the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Chinese nationals in the country.
Earlier this year, two Chinese nationals who were believed to be Christian missionaries were abducted from Quetta and killed by the militant Islamic State group.

This is govt responsibility to make sure about there security at any cost. The government already failed to to protect life and property of their own people and there is no more guarantee about overseas citizens

The state intelligence agency of Pakistan , itself organises rather singularly play a role in abductions of it's citizens and that of foreign nationals, remember the abduction of a Turkish family recently. Pakistan is so desperate in flattering it's friendly country and it's dictator president to the extent I can not describe in words. It is a shameful action on the part of a democratic sovereign nation if it is actually deserves to be called for so!

I wonder why we are simply unable to convince the Chinese, or for that matter anyone else, that the Indians are behind all those terror attacks against us and the Chinese workers and citizens in Pakistan. Maybe we do not believe it ourselves how much ever the overlords try to push it down our collective throats. Our maybe it's just another falsehood among the litany that their media machine conjures up day after day.

Why thousands of chinese workers have to work in pakistan? Why locals are not employed? These are basic civil, mechanical and electrical jobs which does not need great technical skills.

We share nothing in common with the Chinese (culturally) and yet we are going to have a fairly large population of Chinese settling permanently in Pakistan. If we cannot guarantee their safety it is better to say so upfront than have innocent people killed.
CPEC is necessary to Pakistan's future but let's not build our future on the lives of innocent hard working Chinese.

Chinese men with no chance of getting any women in China (due to unhealthy gender ratio), working in Pakistan would mean Pakistanis should protect their womenfolk better. There is always going to be problem
