MINGORA: Security forces on Wednesday claimed to have killed two terrorists and arrested another one during an intelligence-based operation in the mountains of Allabad area of Charbagh tehsil, Swat.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Malakand division, following a tip-off a joint operation of security forces and intelligence agencies was launched against the wanted terrorists who were hiding in the mountains of Allabad.

“Two terrorists, identified as Asad and Abdul Wahab, were killed during the clash, while another one identified as Abdullah was arrested,” the statement said. A search operation in the area was underway to nab suspects.

They were reportedly involved in target killings, terrorism and other anti-state activities. “They entered Swat for carrying out a high-level terrorist activity,” the press release stated.

Swat district police officer Wahid Mehmood while talking to local media confirmed the incident and said that the search and strike operation was underway in different areas of Swat. He said that there was complete peace in the Swat valley and nobody would be allowed to disturb the peace.
