Teachers to stage sit-in on 23rd

SIALKOT, Oct 20: Following the rejection of charter of demands by the government, the Muttahida Mahaz Asatiza Pakistan has announced that it will stage a sit-in in front of the Punjab Assembly besides staging a protest rally on Oct 23.

At a press conference here on Monday, Mahaz central secretary information Abdul Rashid Nagra said teachers of all cadres would participate in this anti-government agitation for the acceptance of their demands.

He said the teachers would also boycott their classes from Oct 22 to 24 besides holding protest meetings in their respective schools.

DACOITY: Two dacoits deprived a Gujranwala trader, Umer Farooq, of Rs7,000 in cash, a car and a mobile phone near Galotiyan, Daska tehsil, on Monday.
