KARACHI: The Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Thursday approved 10 development schemes worth Rs1.86 billion.

The approved schemes focus on works and services, health, local government, and public health and engineering department (PHED).

The PDWP meeting was chaired by Chairman Planning and Development Board Muhammad Waseem.

Seven schemes were approved in the local government department. These include construction of internal link road from Jinnah Terminal Road to Tariq bin Ziyaad Society Karachi worth Rs56.59 million, improvement of road around KPT Building (Native Jetty Bridge) Karachi worth Rs110.00m, rehabilitation/improvement of internal roads surrounding Aga Khan Jamaat Khana in Garden Area worth Rs358.08m, construction of road from Site Town Office to Bacha Khan Chowk worth Rs247.28m. One scheme each was approved in works and services, health, and PHED.
