LAHORE: Pakistan Army dominated the third day of the 63rd National Men’s and 12th Women’s Track Cycling Championships for Elite/Junior by winning five gold medals while six more events were decided here on Wednesday.

The Army team first earned a gold medal in 9000 metres team pursuit (elite) event clocking 4.42.35 seconds. Their team also won the 1000 metres team sprint (elite) covering the distance in 1.8.22 seconds.

Army scooped another gold in the 1000 metres (women) with a timing of 1.23.15 seconds.

Sabiha Zahid also won a gold medal for Army when she won the 1000 meters individual sprint (elite) with a timing of 13.87 seconds.

Army’s last gold medal came from Abid in the scratch race. Punjab won gold medal through Nashmia in 1000 metres individual pursuit (women/elite).
