Protesters attack Law Minister Zahid Hamid's residence in Sialkot

Law Minister Zahid Hamid's residence in Sialkot was attacked by supporters of Tehreek-i-Labaik and other religious parties, DawnNews reported on Saturday.

The attackers, that were more than 100 in number, vandalised and pelted stones at Hamid's house that is situated in Pasrur near Sialkot. Only a dozen security guards were posted at the house, many of whom were injured in the attack, following which additional security forces were summoned.
The police have arrested more than a dozen protesters that were allegedly involved in the attack.
The law minister's family members were not at the residence at the time of the attack.
Meanwhile, PML-N MNA Javed Latif was injured while he was trying to address protesters in Sheikhupura. His security in charge and a counsellor were also injured in the attack.
According to media reports, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar's house was also attacked by a mob. Security forces managed to keep the protesters at bay.
The unrest caused by the police crackdown on protesters in the capital has spread to other cities.

These religious protesters must stop unrest for the sake of their own countrY Pakistan. The must be stopped to spread this unlawful acts of 'terrorism' because average public is being held hostage, minister's house and personnel attacked and others injured. These are not peaceful Islamic actions. In a democracy, fight your fights at the polls. Consider your country first or you are only asking the world to laugh at Pakistan. Use force if necessary.

Let alone the PML(N) face the protesters. Just to drag political gain from the stragedy the PML (N) touch the prohibited subject, ill advised by the top notch leaders , they put the whole party in hot waters. The party reputation and goodwill is eroding like a smoke. There's no chance for PML(N) in next election. Forget the vote.

This is very bad to be honest. If MNA has come for reconciliation then he should be welcomed and listen to him and then decide to agree with him or disagree with him. How was he taken as an enemy to be injured alike? He has been beaten instead is condemned otherwise anyone can be attacked any time any where which cannot and should not be allowed whatsoever. @M. Emad do u know what is revenue? What us profit? Don't mix two concepts. 9% revenue is more than 50% profits, because Pakistan is not investing anything. International practices for revenue is 2% to 5%.

They tried peaceful means but people are dying as can't get them to hospital, kids can't attend school and people are unable to work so not earning! All the time pressure is building so they try to negotiate and it fails then what choice do you have? Please tell me what you sitting in a nice calm house eating your nihari would do? @Kaser Not so simple. Law Minister resignation alone will not stop this agitation. Root cause of increasing fundamentalism need to be addressed. Country need to have state control and democracy allowed to function.
