RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday installed Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lt Gen Nadeem Raza as the first Colonel Commandant of the Mujahid Force (MF) at a ceremony held at the regiment centre in Bhimber.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, a large number of serving and retired officers were present on the occasion.

While interacting with the MF’s commanding officers and soldiers, the army chief appreciated their contributions and sacrifices, particularly along the Line of Control.

Gen Bajwa said the Pakistan Army was undertaking various measures to ensure that the services of the Mujahid Force were recognised in a deserving manner.

Earlier, he laid a wreath at Yadgar-i-Shuhada and offered Fateha.
