APROPOS the report in Dawn (Oct.19). The Punjab government has approved the purchase of 147 brand new doublecabin off-road 4WD vehicles costing more than Rs 658 million for assistant commissioners.
The country is groaning under debt and trying to reduce imports. How can Punjab go against national policy and who approved the purchase?
The transaction needs to be cancelled immediately.
