LAHORE: Faith in the finality of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) is unshakeable and it will remain so because this belief is the basic tenet of our religion, says Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Speaking to religious scholars here on Saturday, he said those who do not have faith in the finality of the Prophet (Pbuh) are not Muslims. He said the Constitution also endorsed the faith in the finality of the Prophet (Pbuh) and the PML-N holds unshakeable faith in it. He said swift action was taken when some changes in this regard were pointed out in the oath and the original text was restored immediately and parliament corrected the law.

He said every Muslim had complete faith in the finality of the Prophet (Pbuh). He said opinions of all respected ulema were listened to and we respect their views.

Provincial ministers Rana Sanaullah and Syed Zaeem Qadri and senior government functionaries were present on the occasion.
