KARACHI, Aug 23: The Sindh chief minister has asked the minister for Zakat and religious affairs, Irfan Gul Magsi, to include members of the Majlis-i-Amal in the various committees, particularly the Zakat committees.

Mr Ali Mohammad Mahar was talking to a delegation of the MMA who called on him in the Chief Minister’s House on Saturday.

The delegation comprised Maulana Umer Sadiq and Nasrullah Shajih. The Sindh minister for Zakat and religious affairs was also present on the occasion.

The chief minister heard the proposals of the delegation and said the government wanted to carry out the relief work for the rain-affected people by remaining above politics. — APP
