LARKANA: The inauguration of a 100-khz medium wave transmission from Radio Pakistan, Larkana, which was scheduled for Monday (October 16), was cancelled for unknown reasons, sources said here on Sunday.

Director General of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) Sheeraz Latif was to inaugurate the transmission at a ceremony at Radio Pakistan’s Larkana station. It is learnt that the PBC director programmes will instead visit the station, where a conference of PBC directors will be held. He will also held a meeting with comperes, announcers and other staff at 2:30pm.
