KARACHI, Aug 22: The advisor to chief minister on home affairs, Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, has expressed dissatisfaction over the working of police and ordered for visible improvement in this regard.

He was chairing a high level meeting held at his office to discuss the law and order situation in the province. The meeting reviewed the steps taken by law enforcement agencies with special reference to the recent killings, which included murder of five brothers and two doctors in Karachi.

The advisor also desired to hold a meeting with the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) to sort out the issue of providing security to doctors. He also urged Ulema to promote harmony among different sects.

It was also decided that doctors and Ulema of various sects should be invited to discuss the issue of security threats.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Home Secretary, CCPO, Provincial Police Officer Sindh, DIG Operations and two TPOs. — PPI
