KARACHI, Aug 22: A senior civil judge issued on Thursday search warrants for the recovery of two minor daughters of Nadir Khan Jamali on an application of the girls’ divorced mother.

Judge Zameer Ahmed Tunio ordered the police to search for Maria, 10, and Aisha, 12, at Rojhan Jamali, the hometown of the Jamalis, and, if recovered, produce them before the court on Aug 26.

Abida Aziz, the former wife of Nadir Jamali, had filed a suit for maintenance after the dissolution of their marriage.

The court had issued a decree in favour of Abida Aziz and ordered that the girls would live with their mother. The court had also ordered the mother to let the father of the girls visit them.

According to Abida Aziz, her former husband had taken away her daughters to his hometown, where they were kept illegally.

BAIL GRANTED: The additional district and sessions judge, Central, Muhammed Riyaz Shaikh, granted a Naib Nazim an anticipatory bail in a murder case.
