BAHAWALNAGAR: A 12-year-old girl of neighbourhood Farooqabad has conceived after she was gang-raped by three suspects for three months.

According to the father of the girl, the main suspect, a resident of Nizampura, with two armed accomplices abducted his daughter to a secluded building. He alleged that the suspects gang-raped his daughter and also shot the video. They threatened her with consequences if she shared the ordeal with her parents and continued raping her for three months.

“We came to know about the situation when girl’s condition deteriorated and she was treated at the Bahawalnagar District Headquarters Hospital,” he said and added the doctors had confirmed pregnancy.

A-Division Station House Officer Malik Irfan Akbar said investigation was under way on the complaint of the girl’s father.

The culprits would be punished according to the law, he added.

CTD: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested on Monday three suspected militants in Bahawalnagar city and also recovered explosives from them.

According to the CTD, suspects were identified as Imran, Minhas Idrees and Habibullah and the recovered explosives are ball bearings and other items. They were planning a terrorist attack.

They have been shifted to an unidentified location for investigation.
