LAHORE, Aug 20: Data Gunj Buksh Town Nazim Khwaja Ahmad Hassaan on Wednesday moved the Lahore High Court against the no-confidence motion adopted against him.

His petition is likely to be taken up on Thursday (today).

He claimed that the impugned motion had been tabled by the members of town councils only while his electoral college also included 33 union councils which had not participated at all in the voting on the motion.

According to Mr Hassaan, the motion couldn’t be adopted without the voting of the members of the union councils which had elected him directly as Town Nazim.
