Young World

Young World is a complete magazine for kids. However, teenagers also like to relish it.

I love reading the articles by Yasmin Elahi and Sara Pirzada. Moreover, the illustrations by Sophia Khan are very artistic. However, if graphics and illustrations would be smaller in size, and there are fewer ads and also no comics, more space could be given to reading material.

Marvellous illustrations

This is regarding the illustrations by Ahmed Amin. I am a big fan of the illustrator and love his artistic approach to the articles and the stories.

Recently, another illustrator Sophia Khan joined Young World; she also possesses great skill in portraying the articles in graphics. Both illustrators are doing a great job.

Making a real difference

This is with the reference to the story “Making a real difference” by Hina Narjis (YW, August 19).

I learnt a lot of lessons from the story; for example not to waste money, food, electricity, water, etc. If we stop wasting our country’s resources, it will make Pakistan strong.

We should not waste money for just decorations on our Independence Day, instead we should save this money and do something better for people in need.

In the same issue, I agree with the writer Afrah Saleem in her story “Real independence”. It is true that we cannot be called an independent state until we are free of evil thoughts and possess positive energy and thoughts. Therefore, we should first change our negative thinking into a positive one.

Pencil holder

This is regarding the wonder crafts “Pencil holder” by Asif Ali (YW, August 19).

It was such a simple craft because everything used in it was easily available in our house and it really turned out to be wonderful. I appreciate the writer for creating wonderful stuff from ordinary things.

Turn down the volume

This is with reference to the cover story “Turn down the volume” by Kashif Hafeez (YW, August 26).

The topic of the article was nice, however, I think the topic could have been explained in greater detail as it is very important for us to be careful of the effect of different things on our health from a young age.

Perhaps Western ‘statesmen’ may moderate their policies if a significant percentage of voters punish them at the ballot box.
