KARACHI, Aug 18: Seven ships carrying containers, palm and soyabean oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Izumo, to unload and load containers, Windsor Castle to offload general cargo and World Star, to unload steel coils were berthed.

The sailing on the other hand was active as seven ships, Pegasus Ace, Mar Challenger, Windsor Castle, Kota Teraju, Mary Ann and Khairpur departed, while Athina, Uni Tank, Zhing Yang Men, Multan, Izumo, World Star and Norsea are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow owing to lower handling of liquid tonnage, falling to 41,732 tons, comprising 9,473 tons of export cargo and 32,259 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Addarraq, to load 23,000 tons of molasses, Titan Venus, with 500 tons of palm oil, APL Shanghai, Sinar Bangka, with containers, Diana-C, with steel material, Mercs Kandy, with 2,800 tons of soyabean oil and Corin Thiakos, with general cargo.
