HYDERABAD, Aug 17: The Islami Tehrik-i-Pakistan activists held a protest demonstration at the Qadamgah Maula Ali here on Sunday against the killing of three persons of a particular community, including Dr Ibne Hassan, in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Kazim Shah Naqvi, Nizamul Haideri, Moazzam Shah Jehania and others said that had the culprits of Quetta carnage been arrested, the killings in Karachi would not have taken place.

They said that it was an open act of terrorism and the government was fully aware as to who was responsible for the killings in Karachi.

ARREST: The relatives of Pakistan People’s Party-SB activist Ramzan Khuman have appealed to authorities concerned to save the life of Mr Khuman who they feared may be killed in a fake encounter.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Sunday, Mr Khuman’s mother, Sultana Bibi, wife and sisters said the police in plain clothes entered their house in Ali Nagar, Qasimabad, on Saturday night, misbehaved with the women and took away Mr Khuman. Since then, his whereabouts were not known, they added.
