KARACHI, Aug 17: A burnt body of an unidentified woman was found in Steel Town on Sunday.

Police said that the body, which was found from the bushes near a filling station at the National Highway, was completely burnt. A petrol can was also found near the body, police said adding that it seems as the victim was set on fire on the spot. The body was burnt beyond identification.

Later, the body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination. Following the post- mortem examination, the body was handed over to the Edhi Foundation for burial, police added.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by unknown persons in Site early on Sunday morning.

Police said that Rustam Khan, 38, hailing from Dara Adam Khail was visiting his brother in Orangi Town. On Saturday night, Rustam had left his brother’s house, but did not return. On early Sunday morning his body was found near the Bawani Challi near Jamal-ul-Quran Site.

His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

ACCIDENTS: Two persons died and two others were injured in separate road accidents on Sunday.

A teenage boy died and two others were injured in an accident at Korangi Road. Police said that a truck belonging to a catering service over turned near Defence Phase-II.

As a result of the accident, Mohammad Arif, 16, and two others were injured. Police said that Arif died on way to the hospital, however, the two injured were taken to a private hospital for treatment.

In another accident, a motorcyclist was crushed beneath a bus in N. Nazimabad.
