DERA MURAD JAMALI: A landmine blast claimed a life in the Chatter area of Nasirababd district on Friday.

Police said that a donkey-cart blew up when it hit a landmine planted on a roadside in Sakhiwah village, killing the man riding the cart. The deceased was identified as Bhutta Shah.

Separately, a man identified as Irshad Ali opened fire on his wife and her friend in Jhal Magsi area killing both on spot.

However, he managed to escape after committing the crime.

A senior Levies officer said that it was an honour killing incident, adding the dead had been identified as Khurshid Ahmed.

Levies had registered a case against the suspect but no arrests were made.
