KARACHI: A field of seven horses will battle it out in the Rising Moon Cup when the Gymkhana race meeting resumes after a break of 12-days at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

It is pertinent to mention that the last races were held on the Independence Day, Aug 14, and the next meeting slated for Aug 19 was cancelled for want of competition.

The cup race, which is the third in day’s racing order, will be contested in scale order VII over four-and-a-half furlongs. Two horses — Lapait Lo and Sweet One —will make their debut in the fourth and concluding race.

Meanwhile, a mediocre card of four races has been drawn for the day. According to schedule, the first race starts at 3pm.
