Tariq best athlete, Mushtaq fastest

KARACHI, Aug 13: Health & Physical Education’s (HPED) Tariq Ali Gujar was was the star of the Karachi University Inter-departmental athletics championship when he was declared the “best athlete” of the meet held on Wednesday.

Tariq won long jump, triple jump and high jump eventsto finish with 15 points. He also established a new high jump record when he cleared 6-4 feet.

Other athletes to shine were HPED’s Mohammad Mushtaq who completed a fine sprint double winning 100 and 200 metres to emerge as the “fastest athlete” and International Relations Imran Anjum who landed 400m and 800 races.

HPED took the team title having amassed 47 points.
