Passionate about football

This is with reference to the article “Passionate about football” by Muhammad Bilal Arshad (YW, July 15). I found this article very interesting and I appreciate the writer for writing on a timely topic.

Football should be promoted in Pakistan, as there are many kids and youngsters now who are more interested in playing football than cricket.

This was the first time that international players came to Pakistan like Ronaldinho. We wish that next time Messi also comes to Pakistan.

It is not wrong to believe that if today we are fans of FC Barcelona, tomorrow we will be the fans of our own football team. I want YW to publish more sports-related articles.

Unforgettable day

This is regarding the story “The day I can never forget” by Muhammad Ibrahim Shafi (YW, April 15, 2017).

This story was very well-written and it was so fascinating that I felt it was real.

No doubt, it is a fact that sometimes in life accidents occur that affect us badly. They leave a lasting impression on us and come mind often.

However, life is not a destination, it’s a journey where indefinite things happen, so we should not act weak or step back, rather we have to face the situation strongly.

Eid for the poor

This is regarding the story “Eid for the poor” by Amir Badeer (YW, July 15). It was a very well-written story with a very deep message. It kept my interest high till the end.

The quote “Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver”, made my day.

The real spirit of Eid is sharing gifts, clothes and happiness with those who need it the most. There are a lot of people in our society who can’t afford to buy clothes and other things even on the occasion of Eid.

It is our responsibility to help them in any possible way.

Discover the artist in you

This is with reference to the cover article “Discover the artist in you” (YW, July 22) by Ambreen Kashif. The article was marvellous and it is true that one should find the hidden talent in each of us.

However, I feel it would have been very nice if the writer had also given a few samples of drawings which people can draw for practice.
