PTA allows transmission of five TV channels

ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Friday allowed cable television operators to transmit five channels of Star TV from Saturday (Jan 5).

According to a press release, the channels whose transmission has been allowed are ESPN, Star Sports, National Geographic, Fox News and Sky News.

The ban on other channels, already specified, would continue to be effective. The authority appreciated the cooperation of all cable TV operators.—APP
