Pakistan men's cricket team will be visiting New Zealand in January 2018 to play five one-day internationals (ODIs) and three T20s, according to the schedule updated on Blackcaps' official website.
Pakistan will play ODIs against the Blackcaps between January 6-19 while the three T20s will be played on January 22, 25 and 28.
Sarfraz Ahmed, who led Pakistan to victory in Champions Trophy 2017, will lead the side in both formats while the New Zealand team will be captained by Kane Williamson.
The Blackcaps had convincingly beaten Pakistan when the two sides faced each other in a two-match test series in New Zealand last year.

Results is known. Kiwis even at their peak always underperform against pakistan. New Zealand and west indies (in recent times) have been very kind (gifting away matches) towards pakistan.

I wished to see more tests since they are exciting in that part of world but ODIs are fine too. Hopefully Sarfraz leads our test side as brilliant as he has done T20, ODI and Quetta gladiators.

The only missing piece to the jigsaw is Mohammad Asif. Bring him back and you will be a brilliant team. Just think Junaid, Asif, Hasan and amir. What a prospect. Then back up with Shadab.

Why does Pakistan not have more international matches. Right after the champion's Trophy, every country was having a full tour. Up until this New Zealand tour being announced, there was no international cricket till summer of next year for Pakistan

@Rizwan Hamid- USA It might have been a deliberate attempt by the PCB to ensure direct qualification for the World Cup. Top eight teams by September this year qualify directly for 2019. We were placed at eighth before the Champions' Trophy, only marginally above the West Indies, so to ensure qualification directly...
This still doesn't explain the lack of games after September, though. But perhaps a tour schedule is in the works. Unlikely, but let's keep our hopes up.
