LANDI KOTAL, Aug 12: A girl was killed on Monday in Landi Kotal and a woman who confessed to having killed her was shot dead on Tuesday.

Sania, 6, of Sheikhmal Khel village had gone missing on Monday morning. Children of the locality told her parents that she was last seen entering a shop owned by a family of Afghan refugees.

On being questioned, a woman, Tor Pekai, reportedly confessed that she had killed the girl and cut her body into pieces.

Sania’s father, Ismail, and his relatives tied Tor Pekai with  a tree for the whole night and on Tuesday morning shot her dead.

The woman’s body was later taken to Afghanistan. She had reportedly killed one of her daughters some time back and was said to be a psychiatric patient.
