PM holds last-minute consultations with aides

ISLAMABAD: On the eve of a judgement that could upend the political fortunes of the Sharif family, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held informal consultations with close aides and key ministers.

PM Sharif returned from his trip to the Maldives at Nur Khan Airbase at 4pm on Thursday, where he was received by his brother, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Sources said PM Sharif was briefed on Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s press conference by the Punjab CM. Later, after the SC issued its supplementary cause list, he consulted with close aides and members of his legal team on possible outcomes.

The sources said that another meeting would be held today (Friday) after the announcement of the Supreme Court decision in the Panama Papers case, to devise a plan of action in the wake of the verdict.

I am hoping for the inevitable ... and if so then it will set right precedents for future leaders of Pakistan that they need to be squeaky clean to hold a high public office, that there is no conflict of interest, that the office of the executive of Pakistan needs to be sacred place of business for the people of Pakistan, not for family business.This verdict shouldn't be the end but the beginning of long overdue accountability process to cleanse this country of black sheep roaming around freely and terrorizing the public in every day lives.

To day is a day in history that a popular Prime Ministry in Pakistan history will be upend. If we compere what he had done for country since he joined office, So it could be easily sought out that he is better than previous. I am a simple man nor highly qualified but watching the price of Dollar and Index of stock exchange in my view his disqualification is not in the interest of country and uncertainty would take place at once.

Establishment don't like good governance in Pakistan, good example Asif Zardari they didn't hatched any plan for his ouster, as they were minting the money too, why they punished who is trying hard to bring this poor nation to a very prestigious status on the economy front, even in Bangladesh establishment give up in interfering in civilian elected govt, when it will happen?
