An ideal cop

Published July 27, 2017

ON Monday night, a traffic warden, Constable M. Khan, was shot dead near Sohrab Goth. The news of his death was sad. M. Khan had a soft and polite nature, always seemed to perform his duty, stand upright and manage traffic without any fear. I often saw him helping people catch a bus or cross a road. This man changed my perception about the traffic police.

Just like other previous cases, his killer would also never be caught. But I still plead with the government to take serious action against such killers and attackers. If our security agencies fear death, how could we have a secure and peaceful environment?
