TIMERGARA: The local leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Adenzai have said that workers would never accept electoral alliance with Jamaat-i-Islami, a coalition partner of the party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, during the next general elections.

Addressing a workers’ convention at the residence of former tehsil naib nazim Mehboob Shah in Laram Top area the other day, they alleged that JI lawmakers damaged the soft image of the PTI government in Dir.

The convention was addressed by Adenzai tehsil nazim Qamar Zaman, PTI former district president Fakhruz Zaman, Mehboob Shah, divisional political secretary Farooq Khan and others.

They said that JI ministers and lawmakers were neither doing something for the welfare of people nor letting the government to do it.

They pledged to end internal differences and work collectively for winning the next elections in Dir. They said that internal rift weakened the party in the area and political opponents were benefitting from the situation.

Also in the day, PTI Maidan chapter arranged a workers’ convention in Lal Qila with Mohammad Salim in the chair.

PTI district president Bashir Khan, Dr Sarbiland Khan, Khan Sherin, Ashiq Hussain and others addressed the convention. They asked party workers to start campaign for next elections. They demanded of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief to step down.

JAMAAT: The local chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami has claimed that it would retain its position in the next elections on the basis of its performance during the last four years.

Talking to local journalists at Timergara Press Club JI district secretary information Eng Yaqubur Rehman said that his party had initiated several development projects in Lower and Upper Dir.

He said that people of the area had trusted in JI leadership. He said that JI would win all seats in Lower and Upper Dir in 2018 elections.
