Jinnah Club triumph

SANGHAR, Aug 10: M.A. Jinnah Club Shahdadpur clinched the Jashn-i-Azadi Inter-Clubs District Sanghar table tennis championship defeating Aligarh Club Tando Adam by 3-1 at New Aligarh College, Tando Adam the other day, organisers said Sunday.

The championship was organised by Sindh Sports Board (SSB) in collaboration with District Table Tennis Association Sanghar.

According to result, in the first match of team event, Tahir Nadeem defeated Imran by 8-11, 9-11, 11-8 and 10-12, Irfan Ahmed defeated Muhammed Hanif by 11-5, 11-8 and 11-6, Shamsher Khan defeated Zohaib Hassan by 11-9, 8-11, 14-12 and 11-8 and Imran defeated Muhammed Hanif by 11-8, 12-10 and 11-9. In Men’s Singles event, Imran Ali clinched the final defeating Irfan Ahmed by 11-7, 10-12, 14-12, 9-11, 11-9 and 11-8. In boys’ singles event, Rehan Soomro clinched the final defeating Zohaib Hassan by 11-8, 12-10, 9-11, 11-8 and 11-9.—APP
