Hilary and Amjad shine

KARACHI, Aug 10: KGA Gymkhana qualified for the final of the Azadi Cup cricket tournament after a convincing 76-run victory over Al-Fatha

CC at their own ground on Sunday.

KGA’s star performer in their semifinal victory was Hilary Rodrigues who excelled with both bat and the ball.

Batting first, KGA made 186 for seven in their 25 overs with Hilary Rodrigues contributing 63, which included six fours and a six.

Al Fatha CC, in reply, were bundled out for 110 in 21.3 overs.

Imran Bashir and Hilary Rodrigues shared the bowling honours, taking three wickets each for 10 and 27 runs respectively.

KGA’s opponents in the final will be Hill Park Rangers, who defeated Al-Hamra CC by 60 runs in the first semifinal earlier in the day at the same venue.

Amjad Ali played a pivotal role in his side’s success with a magnificent all-round double of 30 not out and seven for 35.
