Punishment to assailants urged

QUETTA, Aug 10: Ulema speaking on Sunday on the occasion of the Chehlum of the victims of the July 4 attack on a mosque urged the government to award exemplary punishment to those involved in the incident.

Provincial minister Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Sharody, National Assembly member Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani, Allama Yaqoob Ali Tawasli and others spoke to the gathering held under tight security at the Imambargah which had been attacked.

The speakers condemned the killing and said the government had failed to curb terrorism.
