Injured DSP passes away

OKARA, Aug 8: Sadar DSP Khan Muhammad Wattoo,who sustained critical injuriesin an accident near Mianwali four days ago, died at theLahore General Hospital on Friday.

He was on way to Mianwali to appear before the district and sessions judge when his jeep overturned.

His funeral prayers were held at Manzoor Stadium here on Friday. Later, his body was driven to his native village, Chak Chindar (Bahlak), Faisalabad, for burial. He is survived by a widow, four sons and two daughters.

Sheikhupura range DIG Tariq Saleem Dogar who also attended the funeral announced the recruitment of his son, Aurangzeb Wattoo, as ASI.
