KARACHI, Oct 13: The policies of the government in context of the Afghanistan situation were supported by a gathering of General Pervez Musharraf Himayat Tehrik here on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting in Nishtar Park, on the completion of Gen Musharraf’s two years in power, chief of the organization, Molvi Syed Iqbal Hyder, said that the people of Pakistan always sympathised with the Afghans and because of that President Musharraf tried his best to save them from the American onslaughts.

He said that the government took the right decision to safeguard Pakistan’s interests first. He also lauded the government’s efforts in developing conducive relationships with the World Bank and the IMF.
