LAHORE: A supporter of the PML-N on Thursday received thrashing by some members of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) for chanting slogans in favour of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a general house meeting of the bar.

The bar holds its weekly general house meeting on every Thursday to press its demand for resignation of the prime minister in wake of Supreme Court verdict in Panama Papers case.

As the meeting was in progress in Kiyani Hall of the Bar, a man in plain clothes entered the hall and started chanting slogans in favour of the prime minister. Some lawyers attending the meeting did not tolerate his act and started beating him up. They punched and kicked him before throwing him out of the hall.

Addressing the house, LHCBA Vice President Rashid Lodhi alleged the PML-N had sent its goon to disrupt the Bar’s meeting. He said Kiyani Hall was meant for members only and no unauthorised person was allowed to enter or chant slogans in it.
