APHC team meets Irish diplomats

ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: A three-member All Parties Hurriyat Conference delegation met diplomats of Ireland in New Delhi and exchanged views for the solution of the Kashmir issue.

According to Radio Tehran, the delegation led by APHC Chairman Maulana Abbas Ansari exchanged views for resolving the issue peacefully.

The delegation comprised Maulana Ansari and former APHC chairmen Abdul Ghani Bhat and Mir Waiz Umar Farooq held talks with Irish diplomats to know the ways and means adopted to resolve the Ireland issue.

According to Hurriyat Conference sources, Hurriyat’s meeting with the diplomats will help in evolving their future strategy for the solution of the Kashmir issue.

Earlier, an APHC delegation met Pakistan’s High Commissioner Aziz Ahmed Khan and diplomats of other countries.

The delegation said the conference or the Kashmiri leadership should not be ignored in talks between Pakistan and India for the solution of the Kashmir issue.

This was the first meeting of the APHC with Aziz Ahmad after he assumed his office.

The delegation apprised the foreign diplomats of their stand on ending Indo-Pakistan tension.—APP
