KARACHI: Spectacular hitting from Usama Mir guided Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) into the semi-finals of fourth Naya Nazimabad Karachi Kings Ramadan Cup T20 Cricket with a thrilling three-wicket win over United Bank Ltd (UBL) here on Monday night.

Needing 23 from the last two overs of a thrilling encounter at the Lawai Cricket Stadium, Usama smashed four massive sixes to take steer his team over the line after SGGC had slumped to 41-6 in the first 10 overs.

Usama, who had earlier taken two wickets, ended up making a unbeaten 30 from only 13 balls to claim the man-of-the-match prize.

Earlier, Shan Masood struck an unbeaten 72 while paceman Ehsan Adil took 4-21 as UBL were restricted to 126-8.

Shan’s 60 balls knock included six boundaries.

Saad Ali made 19.
