SAHIWAL: A man killed a woman for refusing his marriage proposal in Barkat Town on Friday.

Farzana, 28, a resident of Barkat Town, had got married with Rahim 10 years back but her husband died soon after marriage. Her parents married her off again with another man but they divorced. Meanwhile, Farzana allegedly developed relations with Asif, a resident of the same town, who asked her to marry him but she refused to accept his proposal.

On night between Thursday and Friday, Asif visited Farzana at her house and they again had an argument over the marriage issue. At this, Asif opened fire at her and she died on the spot. The suspect fled the scene after committing the crime.

The body was handed over to Farzana’s family after autopsy.

ACCIDENT: Three people died in as many road accidents.

In the first incident, a motorcycle-rickshaw and car collided with each other. At Pakpattan bypass road.

According to Rescue 1122, Muhammad Riaz was riding his three-wheeler when it collided with a car that was carrying Ramazan, Manzooran Bibi and Bilal.

As a result, Riaz died on the spot while the three car riders were injured and shifted to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital. Later, the hospital sources confirmed that he did succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

In another incident, one Muhammad Amin was travelling on his motorcycle when he lost control over it due to speeding near Wakeelwala, Pakpattan Road. He hit the ground and died on the spot.
