Thieves strike at three places

ISLAMABAD: Thieves struck at three places across the city on Wednesday.

According to the police, Mirza Usman Baig was getting into his car which was parked along a road in G-9/2 when he was approached by two men who held him at gunpoint. The men made away with cash and valuables.

In a separate incident, Kashif Hamid was drugged when some men offered him biscuits and a drink at Mandi Mor. They took away cash including foreign currency and two laptops from him after he fell unconscious.

A Mehran belonging to Samar Iqbal was stolen from the parking area at the CDA chairman’s office.

Meanwhile, the police arrested outlaws including four drug peddlers and recovered drugs and weapons.

Aabpara police arrested a drug peddler after recovering 1.1kg of hashish from him and Karachi Company police also arrested a man after finding hashish from him.

Tarnol police recovered 350gms of hashish from a man which led to his arrest and the Shahzad Town police also arrested a man after finding 350gms of hashish with him.

The CIA police arrested a man for his alleged involvement in theft and recovered a stolen motorcycle from him and the Koral police arrested two persons separately after finding a 30-bore and 32-bore revolvers from them.

The Sihala police arrested two people and recovered a 30-bore pistol each from them while Shalimar police arrested two people for being involved in gambling.
