WASHINGTON: ‘Fig­hting terrorism’ is top on a White House list of issues that US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss in Washington next week.

The White House ann­ounced on Monday that President Trump will welcome Prime Minister Modi to his official residence on June 26.

“Fighting terrorism, promoting economic growth and reforms, and expanding security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region,” are top on the agenda for talks between the two leaders, the White House said.

“The President looks forward to discussing ways to strengthen ties between the United States and India and to advance our common priorities,” it added.
