KARACHI, Aug 5: A six-inch diameter water pipeline passing in front of the former deputy commissioner (east) office in Gulshan-i-Iqbal burst when a water tanker drove over it on Tuesday.

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board has undertaken emergency repair work of the pipeline and hoped that the work would be completed by Wednesday morning.

It may be mentioned that this road has been badly damaged in the recent rains and the workers of the tankers association were laying stones and boulders for its repair.—APP
