PTV serials

Published June 5, 2017

I AM writing regarding the theft of copyright, of old drama serials produced by Pakistan Television, which is available on Youtube. The content produced/created by PTV is the property of PTV and thus the sole property of the people and the government of Pakistan.

Recently, a company by the name of Rockville Technologies Channel: Shalimar Recording has been claiming on Youtube to own many of the old PTV drama serials, including but not limited to Aangan Tehra, Parchhaiyan, Aahat, Sona Chandi, Nijaat as its own content.

Being a Pakistani who was associated with these old drama serials, I was extremely disturbed that this organisation claims to create and own this content.

Through these columns, I want to draw the attention of the concerned government departments and officials towards this theft of content belonging to the people of Pakistan.
