WITH the advent of the metro bus service in Pakistan, Lahorites are feeling a change in traffic culture now. It is a big venture launched in collaboration with the Turkish government. Earlier, modern systems of ticketing or receiving passengers were witnessed at airports or at a foreign bus service stations in the country.

But now modern systems of electronic ticketing, waterproof escalators and squads for security are there at every metro bus stop.

Perhaps relevant authorities have forgotten to keep a vigilant eye on washrooms of the metro bus stops.

The washrooms of Qainch are in bad shape. Very explicit graffiti is there on all doors of the washrooms.

I was greatly upset when my grade-2 son asked me to take him to a washroom. I asked him not to visit the washroom because he can read Urdu.

Uneven floors, missing taps, nonfunctional flushes, leakage of water, boltless doors, etc, speak volumes.
