This is not new. They have done this before and then restored it later for various countries.

Any one knows why this is done ?

Although it is not new but it is alarming that only Pakistani and Filpinno are put under restriction. Indian are big in proportions to other nationalities. We are loosing grounds everywhere, believe or not.

@shahryar shirazi Pakistan refused to sign onto Yemen campaign and is now wanting to withdraw from Saudi alliance. This is being done to put pressure on Pakistan government since longer duration visas permitted people to go there to find jobs, lay out contracts and return home easily so they could get work visas to go back. Now in less than a month this has to be done what would take 2 months usually. This means expats from Pakistan will decline and revenue will also thus putting a burden on the national exchequer. When economic sanctions through back door and trap door measures like this occur with visa restrictions e.g. it puts pressure on the government and diplomatic channels open up for pressure from the one with the bargaining chip. Thus UAE can lobby for Pakistan to remain on board in the alliance and they think they can force Pakistan to send troops to Yemen but this is not the case. Time now to bid final farewell to Yemen not only but this alliance come what may for Pakistan.

Why only Pakistanis and Fillipinos???

Highly unfortunate as this is the government which is run supported function and even protected by Pakistanis as majority of armed forces personnel in UAE are from Pakistan a huge numbers of retired officers and soldiers are also serving there much of the buildings over there are built by Pakistanis even many many rich Pakistanis took there money both legally and illegally to Dubai and built that city under these circumstances this ban is a slap on our face by corrupt and disgruntled Arab rulers

This is very good step there are some companies who issue 3months visa for Pakistani for work three months later again home country with less amount. Union Beverages Factory (Maaza )

We should realise there is no Muslim Ummah, just national interests for nations. Arabs are putting restrictions on us despite being muslim brotherly country. Treat us same way as Americans and west. Wake up call.

I got a 3-month visa last year but I was hardly there for 1 week. That too, staying at my cousin's place. Who has the money to stay in Dubai for 3 months ?!

People caught there begging in the month of holy Ramadan.. that is the reason behind this temporary restriction.

Pakistan is loosing its credibility in the international world because of our own mistakes at home. India is gaining it's popularity throughout the world. Our country PM is being investigated for corruption and money laundering

If this ban had affected Indians the full Indian diplomatic core would have reacted to correct or retaliate. In Pakistan no one cares about its citizens abroad. There is no Foreign minister in the first place..

Pakistan should put the same restrictions on Emirates travelling to Pakistan; very simple.

We don't need to break our Religious Harmony.. If we opt out it'll be good for our peaceful future.. Peace will bring Business & Livelihoods to our own country

Great friendship ! We always enjoy exceptional relationships with all countries especially with Arab countries which always treat us as a second class citizens !

If it is only the Dubai that has discontinued the visit visas, then one can apply for other six emirates like Sharjha, Ajman, Fujaira, Ras Al Khaima, Um Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi.

@asif Sir, Dubai was built not only built by Pakistani workers but also other South Asian workers too. But we were not doing UAE a favor as we got paid for the work.

The authority knows best but singling out 2 nationalities is not desirable..

You will expect more restrictions since Pakistan is planning to attract business and investment from UAE to Gawadar, due to which most affected parties are UAE and Iran so be ready to bear the back lash for initial few years. Once Gawadar is fully operational, then all the restrictions will be lifted.

many times during muslim holy month of ramzan many peoples from some countries begging before mosques. Many of them get arrested and released later on but begging is not getting stopped..may be for precautionary measures they take this step every year.

why are they banning???

Performance of our Foreign Office is reflected here and in a long running ban (nine years old) in Kuwait that nobody can explain.

Many Professional and seasonal beggars from Pakistan end up in gulf countries for collection of Zakat and fitr during the holy months, specially elderly. That is also one of the reason for such temporary bans.

We aren't coming upto the mark of UAE and so we're losing ground. Indians are investing in huge amounts to building UAE from hypermarkets to schools and such.

I recently visited Dubai and was amazed to see how a great city has been built and run in a desert !! People from India , Pakistan , Sri Lanka , Nepal and Phillipine all working in great harmony and have contributed to richness to the city. Moreover the crime rate is almost Zero. I wonder despite having a better climate and Human Resources, why can't India and Pakistan both build similar cities ?

Because in the long term only economic prosperity and technological advancements matter than any religion. Economics guys economics..... I am nt against religion. @Dr V Sharma The reason is simple. South Asians can vote in their country and so any party that brings heavy fine on littering or creating mess in public places , would not come to the power. South Asian do not have a SAY when it comes to rules in Dubai so they follow it like innocent sheep and that is why Dubai is clean and good.
