NOWSHERA: The Pakistan People’s Party, Nowshera chapter, is in a fix as senior leaders are joining other political parties owing to internal rifts.

PPP leader form PK-16, former MPA Major Baseer arranged a public gathering at Nizampure area and announced joining the PML-N, where adviser to the prime minister Amir Muqam was the chief guest.

Mr Baseer strongly criticised the party leadership and said that he was ignored due to which he left the party. He appreciated the efforts of PML-N for the country’s development.

Mr Baseer had won election as an independent in 2008, but later joined PPP. Another senior leader, Ijaz Advocate, who remained four-time president of the Nowshera Bar Association and was considered committed worker of PPP, has joined Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl. He met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and posed confidence in his leadership.

Ijaz Advocate told this correspondent that he had differences with divisional president and former provincial minister Laiqat Shabab owing to which he left the party.
