Haj quota

ON April 28 the ministry of religious and interfaith harmony selected 87,421 people for Haj this year under the government scheme. However, according to the government policy, it was clearly decided to send 60pc people on the government scheme, while 40pc will benefit from the private scheme.

Owing to the case field by private Haj operators in the Sindh High Court, the ministry held a draw only against 50pc of its quota. Moreover, about 18,000 were left in the waiting list.

The other day I was astonished when I called the ministry of religious affairs about the court verdict. They responded harshly and told me that they were not aware of the court decision.

Most of the waiting candidates have no access to the social media and thus do not know anything about the pending decision. The media has also failed to highlight this serious issue. This creates feelings of frustration and deprivation among the applicants who have been waiting since April 28 for a decision.

I humbly request to honorable Chief justice of sindh high court Mr. Muhammad ali mazhar to give decision in favor of poor and needy people. All the waiting list people will pray for him

We are also waiting since long and our payment also stuck since long and due to that reason we are unable to apply to private seats. Even court is also not follow this case on fast phase. We are very tenced and hearing is continiously deffered.

honourable cj as u also know Hajj is not a buisness so 100% qouta should be in hand of govt.kindly stop this 60 :40 or 50:50forever.

In any case SHC should announce decision considering that Government may have to go in appeal. Time is very short. Ministry of Hajj has to make arrangements. I do not see any reason of reserving this decision. Furthermore, media should play its role. About 18000 people are stranded and quite tense. CJ of SHC and SC should take notice of this undue delay. This case should not have been admitted for hearing. Government has still given more than enough quota to private Hajj operators. I think this quota should be permanently curtailed to 25% maximum or private Hajj operators should charge same price as that of Government if they wish to have 50% quota.

This issue require higher priority. All the waiting list persons are desperate. Can't understand why shc is delaying the decision. It is a simple case give qouta or not. Why is so much time wasting about? Who is taking advantage of this matter?? All the media is silence about such a important issue.

I am in waiting list and I think its strange for all of us the Sind high court is not taking this case seriously and playing with the emotions of 18000 people's

My Parents, brother and myself, we are in waiting list. Last year I have applied with my mother but failed. Alhamdulillah, we are in waiting list this year and thanks to government takes initiatives for raise 60% to government hajj scheme.

I think case is simple Give Government 60% or if private wants 50% given them the remaining 10% and let them to be forced take the pending 18000 on the same amount which government has collected with best possible services, this could be the best thing for pending peoples and good lesson to the HGO's who is taking this noble spiritual journey as a profit making business. There is no justification for accepting this case in the first place and even if they accept it, there is no sense in pending this case for so long and its surprise to see no Tabdeeli Imran Khan no sincere people from Government or Opposition i mean if they think that Pakistan is the country of fools, Inka saat jo bhi karo they will vote, common guys wake up 18000 it not a small figure to be ignored.
